Fire hall ignites the art community.

The Fire House Development is a landmark project that fuses heritage principles with modern thinking. The vision includes the adaptive re-use of an historic Fire Hall, that transforms the facility with integrated mixed use programming centering on art studios and art work display. The site set against the new urban fabric in Doha, and will support the surrounding communities in a new and cultured way.

The concept site plan derives from the larger context by adapting urban patterns to structured spaces that reinforce connections between building uses, the internal plaza and adjacent park spaces.  A layer of fluid patterns, inspired by the windswept Qatari landscape enrich the urban forms creating a synergy that responds with depth and meaning. The patterns and interchange between the natural and urban environments can be further inspired by landscape art installations that will become the first projects by the new emerging artistic community.
